Racking for Ground Mounted Flat Plate Collector Arrays
Here are some example plans for a racking system that holds five 4'x10' solar collectors. Its a ground mounted rack that is supported by four concrete piers. It is for reference only. Click each image for a PDF link.
Making a rack out of welded steel beams creates a nice looking and durable racking solution. Beware, though, it can get fairly expensive depending on the fabricator, materials, and time frame. We had this rack fabricated by a local trailer company.
